Breathing Exercise

Breathng Exercise for Emphysema and other COPD

Relax when you inhale.

Exhale and blow the air out of your nose using your belly. Try to strengthen your diaphragms involvement with the breathing. Do this once

Breath in and relax. If you feel tired to 3 relaxing breaths.

Exhale and blow the air out with your mouth shaped like you are whistleling. Let the cheeks inflate.

Breath in and relax. If you feel tired to 3 relaxing breaths.

Exhale and open your mouth wide. Make the sound of a dog panting but make sure there is hardly any air in your lungs so that you exercise the lungs ability to remove all the air from the lungs.

Take a few relaxed breaths then begin to do breaths where you make a sound on the exhalation like Ommm.

Do this 12 times and relax.

 

Repeat the whole sequence if your not fatigued.
